Thy Kingdom Come Chapter 6
The symbol for the sixth chapter of Thy Kingdom Come centers on God empowering and sending His Son into ministry. Dominant in the symbol is the image of a white dove, representative of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit descended upon Jesus during His baptism, anointing Jesus as a servant of all mankind and preparing Jesus for the long, difficult road to the cross. The Holy Spirit also sent Jesus into the wilderness to face the temptations of Satan, and triumph over them, so that Jesus could overcome the power of sin over creation for all time. This same Spirit also came upon the Church on earth to continue the disciples' mission of being fishers of men in Jesus' name.
