Thy Kingdom Come Chapter 4
The symbol for the fourth chapter of Thy Kingdom Come depicts God bringing his people home. During this dark period of Israel's history, the nation was conquered by neighboring empires, led into exile, and eventually allowed to return to the Promised Land. The road symbolizes those long and difficult journeys. Throughout all this, though, God provided prophets to speak His word and leaders to preserve a remnant of Abraham's descendants who remembered the ancient promises of God. The candle to the left of the image, surrounded by oppressive darkness, expresses the glimmer of hope within God's people as they watched and waited for the promised coming of their Savior, Jesus the Messiah.
